While not as large as Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Sony acquires in Bungie one of the two most competent FPS developers – the other being Infinity Ward under Activision Blizzard. Hence, Destiny players on Xbox shouldn’t feel worried, as the game isn’t leaving the platform anytime soon. In fact, Sony’s announcement also came with reassurance to fans that Bungie will remain working independently and will still publish games on multiple platforms. This doesn’t mean that Halo will be arriving on Sony, however, which could have been the best revenge Sony could make on Microsoft for taking away Crash Bandicoot.
